ROOTS OF ROBOTICS

The Different areas in robotics : 🅐 Mechanical Engineering 🅑 Computer Science 🅒 Electrical and Electronic Engineering 🅓 General Sciences  In robotics, there are three distinct Disciplines  under Mechanical Engineering: ➤Kinematics,  ➤Dynamics,  ➤Sensing,  which are coming under the umbrella of this Mechanical Engineering .  In kinematics actually we try to consider the motion, the relative motion of the different joints, different links. In dynamics , we try to find out, how much is the force required for a linear joint, and how much is that moment or torque required for a rotary joint. So, all such things are mathematically determined in dynamics. In sensing , we try to collect information of the environment with the help of sensors. So, all such things are coming under the umbrella of mechanical engineering.  There are two distinct  Disciplines  under Computer Science: ➤Motion Planning,  ➤Artificial Intelligence,  The motion...

BASICS OF ROBOTICS

Robot was defined as a software controlled mechanical device that uses sensors to guide one or more of end effectors through programmed motions in a workspace in order to manipulate physical objects.  End effector is nothing but the tool attached to the robot. If it is welding robot, there is a welding tool. If it is a assembly robot or pick and place robot, there will be a grasper associated with that or if it is a painting robot, there will be a paint gun. So, that is basically known as end effector. And so, the end effector has to move around so that is to get one or more end effectors through programmed motions in a workspace, in a workspace, in order to manipulate physical objects.    In robotics, we use the fundamentals of different subjects, for example,  🔺 Physics, 🔺 Mathematics, 🔺Mechanical engineering, 🔺Electrical and Electronics engineering,  🔺Computer science.  And, that is why, it is bit difficult to become a true roboticis...
